Before your first recording
Am I allowed to record a lecture?
You decide when to start recording; Husho never starts on its own. Check your institution's rules and ask the lecturer for permission. The recording stays on your Mac.
Can I use Husho both in a classroom and online?
Yes. It records through your Mac's microphone in a lecture hall and captures computer audio during online classes. No integration with a meeting app is needed.
Can Husho detect the language of a lecture?
Yes. Husho automatically detects the spoken language and transcribes classes in many major European languages, including Polish, English, German, and Italian. You can also translate the summary into another language. The app interface is available in Polish and English.
How much free disk space do I need?
The AI models take between 7 and 10 GB, depending on your Mac. Allow about 2 GB of extra space. Husho downloads the models on first launch.
Can I use Husho offline?
Yes. After the initial setup, you can record, transcribe, take notes, ask questions and create summaries without an internet connection. Husho checks your license monthly and can continue working offline for up to 60 days. You can test it by turning off Wi-Fi.
Which Macs can run Husho?
An Apple silicon Mac (M1 or later), running macOS 14.4 or later, with at least 8 GB RAM. Check your specs under Apple menu > About This Mac.
